Counselling

Michelle Edwards, RTC

I have been a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor in good standing since 2017 with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). I started my career in Addictions almost a decade ago where I support individuals in understanding and working through their substance use addictions and mental health concerns.  Realizing how passionate I was about helping people in their struggles I settled down into counselling. I graduated from Vancouver College of Counselling Training in 2016 and opened my private practice in Abbotsford. I have been working in supporting individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, boundaries, relationships and life transitions. My approach is rooted in a Solution-focused therapy, while working collaboratively and holistically with each client, meeting each one where they are in their journey.  When meeting with me you can expect genuineness, empathy, and laughter in a safe and comfortable space where you can share your stories and explore solutions to the struggles you are facing.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, two teenaged girls and our dogs.  I love to cook and spend time in the outdoors. When not with family and friends you can find me volunteering and giving back to my community.
